notices
- give notice和have notice中的notice,通常指离职、辞职或解雇等的“通知”,当have notice和give notice后面带有动词不定式时, notice前有时可加不定冠词a。
- notice作名词表示“通知”时,短语at short notice中的at在美式英语中可用on代替;
He gave me a notice to leave by the end of the week. The tenant gave notice that he was going to move on the first day of the next month.
I noticed a boy come out of the house. A boy was noticed to come out of the house.
I noticed a boy coming out of the house.
